  • Assist client with lowering body weight by identifying appropriate and manageable diet changes supporting long-term weight goals.
  • Support client with the need for increasing body weight due to recent illness, medical conditions, etc.

  • Guide client on foods to lower cholesterol and triglycerides to recommended levels, improve blood glucose markers and control high blood pressure.
  • Discuss nutrition needs before, during and after cancer diagnosis and explain a cancer prevention diet.

Food Allergies and Sensitivities

  • Help client identify their specific food allergies and create a food plan that eliminates or limits exposure to allergen containing foods.

Gastrointestinal (GI) Management

  • Help client develop a plan that includes foods to prevent GI symptoms and limit possible complications associated with GI related conditions including IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), Crohn’s disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Diverticulitis.

Pediatric Nutrition

  • Collaborate with parents and children to develop nutrition goals and strategies to accomplish them.
  • Counsel on allergies, healthy eating guidelines, weight management, heart health, diabetes and other conditions.

Pregnancy Nutrition

  • Educate expectant mothers on nutrient needs to support a healthy pregnancy.
  • Counsel post-partum mothers on nutrition to support her body and infant after delivery.

Enteral Nutrition Therapy

  • Guide client through process of home enteral nutrition and develop nutrition care plan based on client needs.

  • Educate clients on how to plan and prepare simple and healthy meals for a busy family lifestyle at home or when eating out.

Sports Nutrition

  • Coach high school, college, professional and exercise enthusiasts on foods that supply nutrient needs required for their practice.

Eating Disorders

  • Counsel client with eating disorder on strategies to have a more positive, comfortable and flexible relationship with food.

Indirect Calorimetry

  • Measure individual metabolic rate and create diet plan to support metabolic needs for desirable clinical and weight management outcomes.
