Updated information on COVID-19 and Flu: Restricted visitation is now in effect

Sparrow is delighted that you are considering volunteering.

Before you complete the application, we want to be sure you are aware that we require new Volunteers to receive the flu vaccine if joining our program between Oct. 1 and March 31 of each year.

As Caregivers with a vision to be national leaders in quality and Patient care, we have a responsibility to protect our Patients and ourselves. A flu shot is the safest, most effective way to protect against the flu.

If you are over 18 years of age, we will provide the flu vaccine free of charge through our Employee Health Services Department. For our teen Volunteers, we ask that you obtain the flu vaccine through your Physician. We accept exemptions documented from your Physician.

There are just a few easy steps to become a Sparrow Volunteer.
