The Sparrow Hospice Bereavement Program is available to provide support and companion individuals who are experiencing grief and loss related to the death of a loved one. The services provided are available to the families of our hospice patients as well as to the community. These services are free of charge and range from short-term individual counseling, support groups, and educational literature about the grieving process and what to expect.

Ongoing Grief Support for any loss
1st & 3rd Thursday of each month | 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Loss of spouse/partner
2nd Thursday of each month | 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Loss beyond one year
4th Thursday of each month (NO meeting in Nov., due to Thanksgiving) | 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Grief Education Groups
Education group that provides information on various topics related to grief & loss, including grief process, coping skills, and self-care.

MONTHLY
Ongoing education group that can be joined any time throughout the year. If you attend all 12 classes, beginning at any point, you will cover all the topics for this class.
1st Wednesday of each month | 10–11:30 a.m.
JANUARY class will meet January 8th

8-WEEK SESSIONS**
Classes meet once a week for 8 weeks to cover all topics.
